to The Village Booksmith,
south-central Wisconsin's premier source for
quality used books, including rare, out-of-print, and hard-to-find
titles. We feature extensive collections of popular fiction,
mysteries, and science fiction, along with shelves dedicated to
regional and world history, art, nature, religion, cooking, poetry,
pets, travel, and much, much more! Visit the stage to browse
children's books, which range from board books for toddlers to antiques
from decades past. It's all too much to describe here, so
stop in for a visit.
In accordance with Wisconsin Governor Evers’ “Safer at Home” order,
The Village Booksmith will be closed indefinitely.
We hope to be able to offer curbside pickup and/or delivery to satisfy your book/puzzle/magazine/journal/greeting card needs.
We’ll be checking phone messages (608-355-1001) and
email (email@example.com) daily,
so please be in touch if there’s something you need,
and we will find a way to get it to you!

We have fresh coffee or tea, lots of comfy chairs,
and sometimes a friendly black lab waiting for you!
As the cultural center of downtown Baraboo, we also offer frequent
